Miner's Ridge and James Irving Loop Trail - Beach
After several miles through the redwood groves, the trails opened up to the beach. We took off our shoes and continued along the immaculate, almost deserted sandy beach with views of the Pacific Ocean.
After a few failed attempts and run-ins with herds of elk, we finally met back up with the Miner’s Ridge Trail and hiked back into the forest. This remains one of our family’s favorite hikes to date.
